Congrats! Your expecting and you are ready to decorate your baby’s nursery! Many mothers already have the nursery planned out before their baby is born, but some mothers wait until they have a baby shower to receive all of the necessities.
First and most important, is to decide where you want your precious bundle to sleep. Some parents start out with a bassinet and then later move onto a crib or some prefer to co-sleep, but that is the most important decision so you can decide if you should purchase a crib now or in a couple of months when your baby is older. The second important item is a changing table. Changing tables vary in style and design. Is your baby’s nursery small? Perhaps a changing table complete with drawers and cabinets would more suit your needs to hide away extra diapers, wipes and blankets. The third essential item is a dresser, you will need a place to store all of your baby’s clothing.
Decide on a color scheme. Step back and look at the room, would a light pink do if you are having a baby girl, or maybe blue if you are having a boy? Some parents match the nursery décor to the wall color and curtains. This is the fun part of decorating and is all up to your imagination! A small lamp is also essential, especially for nighttime feedings and do not forget the baby monitors! You will need one for the baby’s nursery and one for your room. Decide where the monitor will go, most parents put the monitor on their baby’s dresser.
Lastly, and most important is making sure that the furniture you purchase is safe, stay away from chemically treated wood.

Im having a Boy,Yes its our first! We are going to start on the bedroom this week,we have dark cherry oak furniture,i really dont want to do baby blue or light green.are there any more boyish colors? I want something that can be on the walls for 5 or so years before doing “big boy decorating”.?
Baby rooms are now not just sleeping or dwelling places for your little one. It is also a place where he or she can learn, grow and develop in the best way. Because of this, you need to know how to create a baby room that is comfortable and stress-free but can also boost a child’s cognition as well.
To start off, consider the paint in your baby room to be of a light color, or a pale wallpaper with simple designs and patterns. Lower the sense of distractibility in a room but heighten the sense of developmentally appropriate stimulus. Baby rooms must also have the right furniture. You might want to get the two or three in one furniture that can allow you to turn a cot into a changing table or has a dresser stand connected to it. Such furniture will not overcrowd your baby room, hence making it easier for you to clean it because there is less furniture to navigate around. Stock up on bright and simple balls and easy to clean play rugs for when your baby can already crawl. Create a play area on the floor that is bump free but gives him more space to navigate around. Putting up decorations is also a great way to make it homier, and aside from adding the usual photographs on the wall you might also want to mount framed pictures of your baby’s feet or hand stamps as he or she progresses.
Finally, have a simple but easy to wheel around rack which contains your diaper and feeding necessities, if you can wheel it around, you can bring it with you everywhere and save on motion in the process. These tips will surely help make your new arrival feel more at home.

When you work from home, you can easily become the envy of people that you know. However, working from home can prove to be a challenge in many different ways. You are constantly bombarded with other things that need to and should be done while you are working. You can always find clothes that need washing, dishes that need drying, or babies that need to be rocked. However, one thing that can prove to be a sanctuary and a place to really escape a house and the everyday things that distract a work at home individual, is a home office. But, if your office is just a desk with a computer on it, then you may find inspiration to stay in one area a hard thing to come by.
That is why decorating a home office to suit your tastes is a critical aspect for someone who works from their home.
One of the first things to consider when beginning decorating a home office is what style is conducive to your work? Do you function better when the light is filling the room, or do you like to have it a little darker so that you can focus on just you and your computer?
Understanding the answer to this question can help you decide if you need to paint your space or if adding the right color curtains is the key to helping you work better. Either way, they are both not very expensive and can help to change a room easily.
One thing that can also prove an easy and inexpensive way to decorate a home office is by filling it with great accessories. For example, instead of using a plain coffee cup to hold your pens, find a really pretty small pot or a unique standard pen holder. If you have people that come into your office for visits, do not forget to add a pretty
coat rack to keep their purses and jackets handy. You can find these in a variety of types including a shaker coat rack if you like simplicity.
Other easy ways to decorate your home office include lighting and scent. By locating pretty lamps that are more artistic then aesthetic you can create a creative mood to help you in your working world.
Candles and aromatherapy can also help to keep the creative justices flowing. By simply visiting your local Pier One or other retailer you can find a variety of great candles and incense that please your senses.
If you chose an office coat rack or scented candles, one should always have a great space to work in if they work from home. Staying at home is a challenge, but working from home can prove to be a huge endeavor. Going at it unprepared can help to keep one in the dark with their potential creativity. So, get those creative juices flowing and decorate your space the way that you like it, and learn to love going to work even
